Plus: The cool new tool answering all of your climate questions
Happy Sunday! Today we'll explain why global warming presents a huge threat to the US housing market, discuss yet another worrying climate forecast, and introduce the new tool that can answer (almost) all of your questions about climate change. Let’s dive right in 👇:

US housing market flooded with overpriced homes 🏠
As the planet warms, an increasing number of homes are at risk from flooding: sadly, the US housing market doesn’t seem to have got the message. According to a new study, this has led to properties in at-risk areas being overvalued by as much as $237 billion – with a combination of climate ignorance and climate denial largely responsible.
The owners of these homes could ultimately end up losing a lot of money – and that’s before we even start factoring in the costs of flood damage…
Another day, another grim climate forecast🌡️
A new report warns that the world risks entering a climate change 'doom loop'. This cheery phrase refers to a scenario in which governments have to spend so much time and money dealing with the impacts of climate change, they lose focus on tackling the causes of the problem. This would end up making the impact of global warming even worse, and end up sucking even more resources away from addressing climate change at its roots – a cycle that could continue indefinitely.
Fantastic.
Thankfully, the report’s authors state that we haven’t reached this stage yet – and while these grim predictions can be pretty dispiriting, they should ultimately motivate us to do whatever we can to bring about a brighter (and cooler) future for the planet.
